The most populous and powerful world in Antioch Subsector, Constanthus has a population of 43 billion souls. It is one of the oldest worlds in the Imperium, settled sometime in the 12th millennium directly from Holy Terra. The Basilica of the Founding attracts pilgrims from all over the sector. Constanthus is ruled by the influential Amaranth noble family, who also have considerable sway in the Ecclesiarchy throughout the subsector.

Constanthus' vast population is dependent on regular food shipments from the neighbouring agri-worlds of Virago and Testament. Any disruption would cause widespread starvation among the lower classes, despite the extensive myconial vats in the undercity.
