Cartago is another planet in the same system as Constanthus. It is a small, hot world. Extensive mines and continent-wide solar panels stoke the factories of Cartago. The Adeptus Mechanicus have considerably sway here. A native species of xeno once inhabited Cartago's sulphur-choked islands, but they were purged millenia ago. Only yellow-stained ruins remain, despite the tales told by foolish factory-peons or dust hunters.

Antioch Sector - Regal

Regal is the largest moon of Constanthus. It is the ancestral seat of the Amaranth family. Many of the craters have been roofed with transparent material, and are now pleasure-gardens and palaces. A shipyard, Navio Amaranth, is located on the dark side of the moon.

Antioch Sector - Istmus

Istmus is the fifth world in the Constanthus system, a rocky, ice-locked ball unfit for human life. It is used as a training ground by the Imperial Guard. Water-ice is mined and purified to slake the thirst of the hives.

Major settlements include the prison city of Carceri and the mining complex Wellspring. The latter is owned by the Amanthus family. The planet has been used as a refuelling station by xenos in the past, and xeno artefacts have been found entombed in billion-year-old ice. There is no native life, but bio-engineered lichen from an earlier terraforming effort are a plague to miners.

PLANET: CONSTANTHUS
TYPE: HIVE
The most populous and powerful world in Antioch Subsector, Constanthus has a population of 43 billion souls. It is one of the oldest worlds in the Imperium, settled sometime in the 12th millennium directly from Holy Terra. The Basilica of the Founding attracts pilgrims from all over the sector. Constanthus is ruled by the influential Amaranth noble family, who also have considerable sway in the Ecclesiarchy throughout the subsector.

Constanthus' vast population is dependent on regular food shipments from the neighbouring agri-worlds of Virago and Testament. Any disruption would cause widespread starvation among the lower classes, despite the extensive myconial vats in the undercity.
